Border Set - 1

Free set of borders in SVG, MTC, SCUT3 and Studio formats. Border set 2 will be posted as soon as I test cut all the designs.

A few of the designs are repeats of the same pattern in different sizes. I designed the smaller patterns to cut with silver and gold vinyl to use as accent pieces. If you plan to cut the small patterns out of cardstock you may have to resize the design.

Hi, I have another file to share. When I was testing extrude in Inkscape I created a few designs that looked like gems, so I decided to go ahead and create a side profile of a gem.

Square Knot Design - free file

Another file to share. I created this design in Inkscape by using radial tiled clones and the path effect - knot. If you would like to make similar designs I do have a post with a written tutorial and video here.

I have successfully cut this design at 4" but feel free to resize to suit your own project. If you decide to cut the design at 4" I recommend you use a good sticky mat to prevent the cardstock lifting when cutting the thin stencil cuts.

Celtic knot style double heart

I was playing around with a few hearts and the knot feature in Inkscape and ended up with this design. As Valentine's day is the next occasion, I thought somebody may find a use for the file. It is easy to cut out as there are only two pieces.

Rhinestone Butterfly - Free file

Free butterfly rhinestone design.

Here is a picture of a card I created using the butterfly design. It is based on the same butterfly I used for a few of my past free files. This card was very difficult to photograph due to the sparkle in the glitter.

At the time of cutting this stencil I did not have any rhinestones but I was impatient to see how it looked, so I used glitter. I placed the mylar stencil on a pre-cut piece of double sided sticker paper and sprinkled magenta glitter over the stencil. I then removed the stencil and sprinkled white glitter over the the rest of the sticker paper.

Scroll Butterfly - Free Files

Set of two scroll butterflies. Set includes a 3 inch scroll butterfly and a card topper designed from the negative.  The card topper includes a separate body for the butterfly.
The card in the photo is white cardstock for the topper, silver embossing powder on the body and a black card base. I added a clear rhinestones to the antennae. I have not finished the card yet and will stamp the sentiment at a later date.

Scalloped Trellis Border Strips

A few border designs suitable for card fronts. Each border design is 148mm wide.
All of the designs are contained in the zipped folders.

Another option if you want to add this type of design to be part of the card is shown below. It is as easy as drawing a rectangle to the same width as the border, aligning both sections and then apply Path>Union. Click on the image for a larger view.

Two sets of nested shapes - Scalloped Diamond.

Two sets of nested shapes ranging in size from 2" to 5.25" in 1/4" increments. The scalloped diamonds are stacked as a nested set and both sets are on the one document. One set has a lattice oval cut out and the other set is designed as a backing mat.

I cut by colour and the shapes are nested. You may have to open them in Inkscape and resave if you are using different software.

Free files

I was bored today, so I decided to go through my folder of Inkscape files and found these two circular shapes. I cut them out and decided they might look okay if they had words embossed in the centres. I do not have many stamps and could only find a few that would fit.
Each file consists of two parts, the white part and a coloured backing mat. I cut them out 100mm (approx 4 inches) wide but they can be resized to suit your project.
